The House of Democracy and Human Rights rents out rooms to organisations and initiatives. All our offices are currently occupied and there is already a long waiting list. In addition to permanent office space, we offer rooms for extra-parliamentary-political purposes, from small seminar rooms to large function rooms for up to 100 people.
A small warning: In order to keep the financial threshold for using our rooms as low as possible, we have calculated the room prices without major personnel costs on our part. However, this also means that we cannot offer individual event preparation and/or follow-up services and must rely on having rented rooms returned tidy.
No election campaign please: In order to avoid misunderstandings, we ask you to refrain from requesting rooms for party events (= events of parties and their subdivisions).
Since March 18, 2022 the rooms in our house can be used in compliance with the 3-G rule - according to the eighth modification of the Fourth SARS-CoV-2 Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of the Berlin Senate - details here: https://www.berlin.de/corona/massnahmen/verordnung »
This means that the Havemann Hall and all our other conference rooms are available for bookings in compliance with this rule.FFP-2 masks are also complusory when seated. In general, we recommend that even if 2-G events are held, a quick test should be done beforehand in order to further minimise the general risk of infection. The Foundation House of Democracy and Human Rights does not provide tests.
